PATHANAMTHITTA: State BJP president K Surendran has said that CPM polit bureau member M A Baby’s change of stand on Sabarimala issue is a ‘dialectical U-turn.’ “M A Baby is a sidelined leader in CPM. Therefore opinions of such a leader are not important,” K Surendran said.
“It is not a jobless leader like M A Baby who have to express opinions on such issues, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan must air his views on Sabarimala. The chief minister must openly admit that the government’s stand on Sabarimala issue was wrong,” he said.
“The chief minister must apologise to the devotees. Pinarayi Vijayan must admit that his stand on the issue was wrong. After that, he can take a decision on the affidavit,” he opined.
“Even if CPM makes u-turns on their stand on Sabarimala issue, people and the devotees are never going to forgive them. People will never accept CPM even if they take a thousand dip in the holy Ganges,” he added.
“Pinarayi Vijayan and his team will never get people’s mercy for the things they have done in Sabarimala. There is no use in saying useless things to the public, to earn their support as they are sure that people are going to punish them,” Surendran said.
