THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM has made their stand clear in the Pala seat. The party has officially informed NCP that Pala seat cannot be given up. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed this to Praful Patel. He also informed the central leadership that the Rajya Sabha seat also cannot be parted.
Pinarayi directed Mani C Kappan to compete in Kuttanad seat. He said all three seats except Pala would be given to the NCP. With this, Praful Patel's visit to Kerala for talks has been cancelled.
The stand of the CPM came out at a time when Mani C Kappan was scheduled to meet NCP national president Sharad Pawar today. With this, it is almost certain that Mani C Kappan dissatisfied in Pala seat, is likely to leave the front. Sharad Pawar has summoned NCP state president T P Peethambaran to Delhi immediately.
