KOTTAYAM: P C George MLA said that he will support Mani C Kappan in Pala in the upcoming assembly elections. There is a decisive strength in Pala and would compete alone if Kappan is not there, he said.

George said that even Oommen Chandy is not safe in Puthuppally and the support of his party Janapaksham is needed for the UDF to win in Kottayam. No decision has been taken to field his son Shaun George, he said in an interview to a channel.

Meantime, Shaun said that he is interested in continuing as district panchayat member. He said that he will abide the decision of the party.
