KOCHI: KPCC chief Mullappally Ramachandran welcomed Mani C Kappan to the Congress party. Would be happy if Kappan comes to congress and if he is ready can contest in Pala in hand symbol, said Mullappally. The party has not held any official talks with Kappan, he said.

Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said welcoming NCP and Mani C Kappan to the UDF.

Chennithala said welcoming Kappan to join Aishwarya Kerala Yatra with the UDF. A section of Janata Dal (S) had held talks with the UDF leadership, he said.

Meantime, Kappan's response was that it was a good thing that the Congress welcomed him to be part of the party. He refused to divulge more on it.
