KANNUR: Nijesh Kumar's transition from an ordinary fisherman to a rider is not only for the journey but also for every valuable rupee. His goal is to reach out to as many children as possible. For that, he needs to travel all over India and earn the maximum amount. With that amount, this young man from Thayyil in Kannur intends to provide food and study materials to poor children.

While working in a mobile shop in Delhi two years ago, Nijesh saw even small children begging and doing other hard works. On that day, he decided that he will do something to support the children on the streets. Nijesh, the son of fisherman Manoj Kumar and K. Suja at Vignesh Nivas in Maidanapally, finally informed about his goal to Rajith Kumar, a bicycle shop owner in Thrissur. It was Rajith who sponsored the Exodus Crank cycle last month. The excellent support received from Childline also doubled his confidence.

Nijesh wants to cover at least 30,000 km. He will hoist a banner at each place without asking people directly for money. The banner contains a request to pay at least one rupee for poor children. Those who are interested can make online donations to him. Social media will also be made for this.

City Police Commissioner R. Elango flagged off the journey. To travel around India, he has to cover at least 30,000 km to return back to Kannur.
