KOCHI: Petrol price in the state increased by 25 paise to Rs 89.73 per litre yesterday (Thiruvananthapuram). Diesel price has been hiked by 31 paise to Rs 83.91 per litre. In the last three days, petrol prices have gone up by 90 paise and diesel by 95 paise. If this continues, petrol prices will cross Rs 90 on Friday or Saturday.

Last April, petrol was priced at Rs 72.99 and diesel at Rs 67.19. Since then, petrol prices have risen by Rs 16.74 per litre and diesel by Rs 16.72.
