THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The University of Kerala has chosen poet K Satchidanandan for this year's ONV Memorial Award. The poet was chosen for the award for his contributions to Malayalam literature.

Satchidanandan was selected by a four-member-panel headed by poet Desamagalam Ramakrishnan. The jury members were C R Prasad, S Naseeb and S Shifa. The award comprises a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a statuette and a citation.
