Director and actor Major Ravi said that he will stand with the party which aims at the welfare of the people and if he reaches any position, he will take only one rupee as salary. In his Facebook post has not made a decision about joining Congress though he had appeared for the party's program recently.

He says in his social media post that he is waiting for a party that works for the people without showing corruption. His reaction came amid rumors that director and actor Major Ravi is coming to the Congress after attending the UDF's Aishwarya Kerala Yatra.

Am waiting for a party to meet my demands to serve my people without corruption. Soon I will inform you all. Don't fall for propagandas.... And yes, I attended the Congress yatra... That's all for now to all my well wishers...I will be with a party which will give full support for the public welfare... If I happen to hold any post, I will take only 1 Re as my salary and balance for poor girl-children's education. just wait.. Jai Hind.
