KOTTAYAM: By writing new political equations, Mani C Kappan MLA has become part of the UDF. Kappan attended the reception accorded to Aishwarya Yatra led by opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala when it reached Pala. He arrived at the UDF venue after the road show conducted in Pala with many of his supporters. The UDF received him with both hands. He was later welcomed to the dais by the leaders. Oommen Chandy, P K Kunhalikutty, P J Joseph and many others were in the dais. Kunhalikutty said Kappan’s entry to the UDF will be a boon for their victory. P J Joseph addressed him as Thirunakkara Kochukomban.

Kappan started his speech harshly criticising Jose K. Mani. He addressed Jose K Mani as junior mandrake. Jose, a junior mandrake, was lovingly accommodated to the LDF. With that, the bad times started. He also advised the chief minister to watch the film junior mandrake. He also thanked Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his ministers at the UDF venue. He thanked them for helping him win in Pala. There has been development worth 462 crore in Pala in the last 16 months. He said Jose K Mani and V N Vasavan are opposing development and this is the first time in history an MLA office has been opened in Pala.

Kappan resigned from the NCP. He said that his accomplices will resign the corporation and party posts. He said the NCP central leadership will be with the LDF and said that he had informed Sharad Pawar about his decision. He said that he will not resign his MLA post. Reports said the announcement of his new party will be made tomorrow.
