THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 4612 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 4173 persons developed the disease through contact including 293 cases without an identified source of infection. 104 persons who came from outside the state tested positive for the virus. 42 health workers contracted the disease on Sunday.

4692 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 63,484 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 15 deaths due to the virus on Friday with the toll rising to 3985.
