KOCHI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday lashed out at the sale of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) during the inauguration of the new plant in Kochi. He said that the growth and development in the state are not only through inviting private investment but also through the empowerment of the public sector. During the function, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the BPCL plant to the nation.
For the last four and a half years, the state government has been making efforts to boost industrial growth. Industrial development is not achieved only through private investment. It is made possible by strengthening the public sector and modernizing the traditional sector. The state government is ready to co-operate with the central government in development activities. Comprehensive and balanced development activities have been going on in Kerala for the last four and a half years, the CM added.
