THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the announcement of this government's policy on regularisation of temporary employees, those who have been illegally employed in various institutions are taking advantage of it. The Board of Directors of the Coastal Development Corporation has recommended to the government to regularise about 100 employees who haven't completed ten years of service. The matter will be considered in today's special cabinet meeting. Most of them were employed during the term of this government.

The employees who are being regularised now are those who were appointed by this government after sacking 30 other employees who were appointed during the terms of the previous governments.

An attempt is also being made to illegally regularize 47 employees of the Regional Cancer Center (RCC). There are 11 day paid employees who have completed 10 years. They were accompanied by 47 people. Seven of them belong to a single family. They are close relatives of the head of the tumor registry. They are made permanent when there are no posts.
