KOTTAYAM: Mani C Kappan MLA will float a new party this month itself. A ten-member panel has been appointed with Mani C Kappan as the chairman and advocate Babu Karthikeyan as convener to decide on matters including constitution, flag and registration.
Committees will be formed at district level within two weeks. A meeting will be held in Thiruvananthapuram next Sunday to evaluate the activities. The party may be renamed NCP Kerala. Ten leaders including three state general secretaries, resigned from the NCP along with Kappan yesterday.
Those with Kappan will resign the corporation chairman, board member posts soon. Kappan’s participation in Pala has boosted his confidence. It is this support that drives him to speed up the formation of the party.
