THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In an inhuman act, 70-year-old Savithri was abandoned in the rented house by her daughter and son-in-law at Njandoorkonam. They then handed over the keys of the house to its owner on Friday and fled from there. Hearing noise from the house, the neightbours found the woman in the house and then informed the police.

Police reached the spot and shifted the hapless woman to a shelter home. A case has been registered against the two and a probe has started. They have been staying in the rented house since July 2020.
