KOCHI: A plus-two student was found dead in a mysterious circumstance at her house. The dead identified as Nehisya (17), daughter of Joseph and Jessy of Nedumparambil on Mandathara road near Marad mosque, was found lying dead Monday morning.

Cotton was found stuffed on her nose and mouth and then stuck with cello tape. Her head was covered with a plastic cover and neck tightened with a rope. The police who reached the spot informed the forensic expert and examined the room. Police said that it is a case of suicide. Only her father and elder sister were at home at the time of the incident. Her mother is under ayurveda treatment.

She was a brilliant student. In the class exams held the other day, she lost one or two marks in some subjects. Her father scolded her for that. Police suspect that she may have taken the drastic step due to that. Her friends were invited for her birthday celebrated on Friday. Her body has been shifted to the mortuary of the general hospital. The police has started an investigation.
