THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Even as PSC job seekers are protesting in front of the Secretariat, the state cabinet on Monday decided to regularise 221 temporary employees. In KTDC alone, 100 employees who have completed 10 years of service were regularised.
37 persons who have been working under the State Youth Welfare Board were also regularised. The explanation is that the regularisation is applicable only to the posts which are not filled by PSC. While 54 temporary employees of SCOLE Kerala have received permanent appointments, 14 employees were regularised in the Co-Operative Academy of Professional Education.
The cabinet has also decided to create 261 new posts. It has decided to create 140 new posts including 115 professor posts to start the functioning of Wayanad Medical College.
