THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The salaries of KSEB employees have also been increased in proportion to the increase in the salaries of government employees. An agreement regarding this was signed by the union representatives of the employees and officers with the board yesterday. The minimum increase is Rs 2880. For officers, the revised salary will be implemented with retrospective effect from July 1, 2018, and for employees, the revised salary will be implemented with retrospective effect from August 1 2018.

The arrears for January and February 2021 will be received in cash. The arrears due from July 2020 will be 3 per cent of the new salary along with the March salary. In addition, the housing allowance equivalent to that of government employees will be credited to employees' accounts in April 2021. Unlike government employees, the service pay is 0.2 per cent per annum up to a maximum of Rs 4,000 per year.
