ALAPPUZHA: Recent report claims that actor and director Ramesh Pisharody will soon join the Congress party. According to sources, Pisharody will officially join the Congress at a conference that will be held today in Harippad, in connection with the Aishwarya Kerala Yatra led by opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala. Pisharody has discussed the matter with former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala.

Earlier, it was reported that actor Dharmajan, a friend of Pisharody, will be contesting the assembly election as a Congress candidate. Dharmajan, a Congress supporter, has already started an election campaign in Kozhikode Balussery.
