NEW DELHI: AICC general secretary, K C Venugopal MP, has said that those who are gearing up to become candidates in assembly polls must evaluate their winning possibilities. “The state leadership must convince the senior leaders, who were not considered for candidature about this and even if an ordinary worker is popular among the people and have a high degree of winning possibility, then he will be given ticket without considering group affiliations,” he said.

“All leaders in the state are bound to implement the assurance given to Rahul Gandhi. Youth and woman will be given adequate representation in the list of candidates. A strong candidate will be fielded in Nemom,” the senior Congress leader added.

“Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is the Kerala version of Narendra Modi. This government will drown in the tears of youth in the state. The chief minister’s attitude towards the PSC rank holders is the same as Modi’s stand towards the protesting farmers,” Venugopal said.
