KOZHIKODE: Congress leader K Muraleedharan MP said seats in assembly elections should not be allotted on the basis of groups. He said the people would accept only if there are good candidates and the party has not taken a final decision on any candidate.
Muraleedharan said that he wants to co-operate with the RMP in Vadakara and discussions are underway. A tough fight will be between the two fronts in all the seven assembly constituencies coming under Vatakara. He said that his active presence is required in seven places and in Vattiyoorkavu. Murali said that it would only matter if each MP looked at their respective constituencies and would not campaign anywhere other than these constituencies.
A surgery is not needed for the congress and what is required is selection of candidates. Faith should be protected in Sabarimala. The BJP-CPM alliance will be exposed. The UDF is active and it should yield results. Hope to wrest back Vattiyoorkavu this time. Some unruly scenes were witnessed last time in the meet convened to fix the candidates. After that there was an opinion amongst the people that there is infighting in the party.
