THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday said that the attack during the KSU strike was a planned one. Claiming that some evil minds had conspired to create violence during the protest, the CM said that the attack was directed against the policemen who were only doing their duty.

'This does not happen unknowingly. Some believe that the police will react naturally when attacked, which can lead to more problems. The attack on the policemen was as planned. However, despite seeing their colleagues being beaten, the police exercised restraint," the CM said.

Some were upset with the actions of the state government. They are aiming to mislead the people through the KSU attack, the CM said.
