THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM has directed government to hold talks with the PSC rank holders protesting in front of the secretariat. The party's latest move is when the opposition is trying to make government's reluctance to hold talks as their political weapon. The CPM state secretariat decided to convince the rank holders the steps taken by the government so far.

The CPM's directive comes shortly after the chief minister and the finance minister said they have done everything possible and there would be no more discussions. The party secretariat is of the view that the opposition comparing rank holders strike with the farmers strike should be seen carefully.

It is up to the state government to decide on the party's direction. It has to be decided who all should participate in the ministerial discussions. The rank holders have welcomed the government's decision.
