KOLLAM: Fisheries Minister J Mercykutty Amma has denied the allegations raised by Leader of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala regarding the deep sea fishing contract.

"The opposition leader is raising baseless allegations. He has become so shameless that he goes on blurting out only lies," Mercykutty Amma said. She also said that Ramesh Chennithala will have to change his statement and apologize.

"The Leader of the Opposition said yesterday that EMCC officials had met me in the United States. Today he said that they came to Kerala and met me. Will it be a contract if someone comes and meets me?" the minister said.
