THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The discussion between the agitating PSC rank-holders and officials has begun at the Secretariat. Home Secretary and ADGP Manoj Abraham are holding discussions with LGS, CPO and candidates.

It must be noted that the government level discussion is taking place after 26 days of protest. Three candidates each from the LGS and CPO rank lists are taking part in the discussion.

Earlier, CPM leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had expressed willingness to hold talks with the candidates. Meanwhile, the Youth Congress criticized the officials for holding discussions with the candidates without the participation of the ministers or the people's representatives.
