THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The protests of PSC rank holders in front of the secretariat continues. Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala will visit the venue of the protest today morning. Meanwhile, a team of government officials will again visit the protesting rank holders.

The protesting rank holders have demanded a written assurance on the promises made to them in the official level talks held on Saturday. The talks were led by additional chief secretary in charge of home affairs T K Jose and ADGP Manoj Abraham. The rank holders were adamant on their stand in the talks which extended up to two hours. The LGS rank holders have put forward eight recommendations including recruiting job seekers from the existing list to temporary posts and permanent appointment via PSC.

In the talks, the officials have assured them that they will ask the government departments to inform the vacancies to PSC and will convey the demands of the protesting rank holders to the government. They have also assured that recruitment to the post of higher secondary assistant and night watchman will be carried out from the LGS rank list after enquiring with the departments concerned.
