THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister J Mercykutty Amma lost her cool at opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala in the deep sea fishing controversy. The minister said it has to be suspected whether EMCC representatives are colluding with Chennithala and alleged suspicion on the stand of the company's representatives. The minister's response came shortly after EMCC company president Shiju Varghese’ revelation that he held discussions with the chief minister along with fisheries minister at the Cliff House.

Varghese’ revealed this to a private channel. He said the chief minister had enquired him about the details of the project and the meeting was held in August 2019. His revelation was soon after opposition leader Ramesh Chennithal exposed more evidences in connection with the deal.
