THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The PSC rank holders have come forward with a complaint against Minister Kadakampally Surendran. The minister asked them even if the rank list is extended for ten years, is there any assurance that you all would get a job. The rank holders alleged that he told them that they have embarrassed the government.

The talks were held at the minister’s official residence Monday morning. The minister gave time following the demand of LGS rank holders.

However, the rank holders who took part in the discussions said the attitude of the minister was not in favour of them. Laya Rajesh, representative of the rank holders said the response from the minister’s side pained them. She told the media that while addressing things to the minister, he asked what her rank was and said that even if the rank list is extended she won’t get the job and then asked why going ahead with the strike.

Even after 28 days of the strike, the minister has not understood things. This is really sad, they said. The rank holders have decided to go on an indefinite fast if an assurance is not obtained by this evening. Meantime, the additional chief secretary of the home department handed over the file containing the details of the discussions held with the protesters to the government. The government is likely to take a decision on their demands.
