ALAPPUZHA: A woman identified as Bindu of Kurattikadu in Mannar was abducted Monday morning at 2 am. They broke the door of the house and then forcibly kidnapped her.

She came from the Gulf on February 19. Her relatives said they saw two people near the house since she reached home and some had come home. Her husband said a group of people barged into their house and forcibly kidnapped her.

The relatives handed over the pictures of the observers and Bindu's phone to the police. The phone is being examined by the police. Police suspect a gold smuggling team behind the incident. It is hinted that a team from Koduvally in Kozhikode abducted the woman. Bindu is an accountant in a supermarket in Gulf.
