THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Last Grade Servants Association and the Civil Police Officers Rankholders have decided to intensify the strike in front of the Secretariat in the absence of a positive response from the government despite official discussions.
On the 28th day of the strike, LGS candidates went on an indefinite hunger strike at 7 pm yesterday. The hunger strike was started by leaders Vineesh, Riju and Manusoman. The CPO rank holders are also preparing to intensify the strike with the participation of more people from today.
State leader Laya Rajesh said that despite the efforts of the last graders to meet Minister Kadakampally Surendran yesterday morning to try to resolve the strike, the minister's attitude was completely negligent. Leaders of the protest stated that the agitation is being intensified as the government did not keep its promise after assuring the candidates that their demands would be considered.
