KASARGOD: Karnataka has temporarily suspended the blockades and regulations imposed for the vehicles crossing the Kerala-Karnataka border. The relaxation comes from the mandatory rule for the covid negative certificate. The state government of Karnataka has relaxed the regulation following the protests and condemn from different political parties and people of the state.
Karnataka has earlier taken the stand that it will only allow those from Kerala who have conducted RTPCR tests and tested negative for the pandemic 72 hours before entering coming to the state will be allowed to enter via the borders. The decision which was due to be implemented on Monday was postponed to Tuesday due to people’s opposition and practical difficulties. But Karnataka has now asked for covid negative certificates issued two days before entering into the state but it has also put forward certain new guidelines.
Karnataka will put in place facilities for Antigen test on all important roads including the Talappadi national highway. The state has also decided to collect the blood samples of the commuters in the antigen test centres.
