THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Dr. CN Ashwath Narayan on Tuesday said that steps will be taken to prevent any inconvenience to the public and students in connection with the blocking of passengers and vehicles from Kerala at the Karnataka border. He was speaking during his visit to the Kerala Kaumudi office in Thiruvananthapuram.

Border checks are carried out only as a precaution against COVID. The road was not blocked or closed there. This is a precaution taken by district commissioners to combat COVID-19. Those who have recently undergone antigen tests will not find it difficult to cross the border. Arrangements for this should be made in the border districts of Kerala. He said he would look into whether more concessions could be made in this regard and that new developments had not been taken into consideration.
