KOTTAYAM: Minister MM Mani on Thursday said that Kerala Kaumudi is a newspaper that has raised its voice for the underprivileged. He was inaugurating the 110th-anniversary celebrations of Kerala Kaumudi on the initiative of the Kottayam unit.

"Kerala Kaumudi took a decisive stand in making K.R.Narayanan the president. Although there are many editors, only K. Sukumaran is known as the editor," the minister said. He said that the oppressed got excited by witnessing the activities of Sukumaran and Kerala Kaumudi.

Kottayam unit chief R.K. Baburaj presided over the function. The Minister honoured senior agents and those who have left their mark on various sectors of society. Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan MLA delivered the keynote address.
