PALAKKAD: As a sign of protest, mother of Valayar girls shaved her head. She was staging protests demanding action on the probe officials who committed severe lapses in the investigation of her daughters’ murder. The mother of the girls has earlier warned that if action is not taken on the probe officials before the election notification is out, then she will shave her head.

Along with the girls’ mother, two social activists have also done the same. Expressing solidarity with the girls’ mother, 100 persons will shave their heads on March 4, the fourth death anniversary of the younger girl. The girls’ mother will also begin campaign programmes explaining her helplessness and struggles to deliver justice to her daughters.
