KOTTAYAM: The NSS has once again lashed out at the state government. Accusing the government of showing double standard, NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair said that the government refers to Mannathu Padmanabhan as a renaissance hero only to ignore him whenever possible.

According to NSS, the omission of Mannathu Padmanabhan from the Guruvayur Satyagraha Memorial was immoral and deliberate negligence towards the great reformer. Sukumaran Nair also criticised the CPM for an article published on its mouthpiece Deshabhimani. "We have realised the double standards of the CPM and the LDF government. The government has been showing double standards by supporting and ignoring the great reformer according to its needs. Everyone can understand the political rivalry behind it," Sukumaran said.
