THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Finance Inspection Wing(FIW) has recommended the government to collect back Rs 16.15 lakh paid to Swapna Suresh as her salary while she served as Space Marketing Manager at Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited (KSITIL). According to FIW, the Swapna did not have any qualifications for the post and hence her salary must be seized from the officials including M Sivasankar.
It also recommended that consultancies, including Mint, must be avoided and their appointments must be canceled and new appointments should be made through employment.
According to the report, Swapna Suresh was appointed by PricewaterhouseCoopers as a result of the planned and deliberate actions of KSITIL Chairman M Sivasankar, Managing Director C Jayashankar Prasad and Space Park Special Officer Santosh Kurup. The report states that Rs 16.15 lakh must be collected from PricewaterhouseCoopers and if the government fails to do so, officials including Sivasankar should be charged.
