MALAPPURAM: The final list of Muslim League candidates will be finalized within three days. After the UDF bilateral talks in Thiruvananthapuram today regarding the division of seats, the Panakkad High Authority Committee will meet on Friday to decide the candidates.

The league is hoping to get three more seats so that it can compete in 27 seats. The probability list includes more than two people in many constituencies. State General Secretary KPA Majeed, P.K. Feroz and PV Abdul Wahab also made it to the list. PK Kunhalikutty will contest from Vengara. Wahab is also being considered for the Rajya Sabha. The league also wants Majeed to stay in the organization. In Kalamassery, VK Ebrahimkunju is likely to be replaced by either his son PK Gafoor, the district general secretary of the league, or Mankada MLA TA Ahmed Kabeer. AKM Ashraf and Kallada Main Haji are also on the list to replace MC Kamaruddin in Manjeshwaram.

MK Muneer will shift from Kozhikode South to Koduvalli. Ummer Pandikshala, district president of the Southern League, might contest in Kozhikode South. PK Feroz is also on the list. KM Shaji has informed the leadership that he wants to contest in Kasargod or Kannur. Sources said that the Muslim League might hand over the Azhikode and Kannur seats to Congress.
