THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The health department has taken steps to control the rush at Covid vaccination centres. More vaccination centres including in the private sector have started functioning. Token system will be abandoned to those who come for the shots after registering in Covin app.

Arrangements will be made to book for the next 15 days in Covin app. Many in the vaccine centres had to go back without getting the shots due to the rush. It is in this situation, the government has taken the steps.

There will be no new registrations for a week at the Thiruvananthapuram medical college, General Hospital and Pangappara health centre. New registrations will start after the first dose is given to those issued tokens.
