THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram District Collector Navjot Khosa, who is also the district election officer, has informed that all those who want to cast their postal vote in the assembly elections should apply in 12D form by March 17. For this, people should fill the application form obtained from the booth level officers and collect the receipt. The postal voting facility will be available to those over 80 years of age, those who are COVID positive, those living in quarantine, voters with disabilities and employees of the 16 departments declared as essential services by the Election Commission. Applications for postal voting of the other three categories which are not in the essential service will be sent directly to the homes through the booth level officers. They should handover a certificate issued by the concerned authorities along with the application. No certificate is required for those over 80 years of age.
