THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With just days ahead for the assembly polls, sources say that the crucial declaration appointing K Sudhakaran as the president of KPCC would be made soon. As the discussion process in Delhi concludes, the candidate’s list of the party will be out on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Sources say Sudhakaran’s appointment to the top post will be made with the issuing of the candidate’s list or after that.
Ahead of the declaration, Sudhakaran was summoned by the high command to Delhi. Even though he is summoned to Delhi to select candidates for assembly polls, talks on the KPCC chief’s post is also included in the high command’s agenda. The latest developments in the party indicate the possibility for Mullapally’s entrance into the poll fray.
Meanwhile, Sudhakaran has said that the high command has not summoned him and he is going to Delhi to take part in the parliament session. The candidate’s selection will be completed by March 10th. “For LDF jail is sure and those seats which are UDF’s strong forts will continue to rest with the right front,” Sudhakaran said.
The candidate’s list might witness some amends from Delhi. New faces might get a higher chance this time. Whereas sources in Congress say that senior leaders except A K Anthony do not support Sudhakaran’s appointment to the post of KPCC chief.
