THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran has said that the development farce did by the left, right fronts based on religion and caste will be ended and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policy of development for all will be implemented if the BJP comes to power. He was speaking at the mega rally held at Shankhumukham on the occasion of the conclusion of the Vijaya Yatra which started from Kasargod. Inaugurating the rally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the NDA campaign slogan for the Assembly elections. The slogan is 'New Kerala with Modi'.
Surendran asked in which aspect Kerala is number one. Is it in Covid, unemployment, poverty, abuses against Dalits and Adivasis, feminism, jihad, religious terrorism, recruitment of youth to ISIS? He added that renaissance leaders like Sree Narayana Guru, Mannath Padmanabhan, Ayya Swami and Ayyankali didn't dream of a Kerala with corruption and development stagnation.

Congress leader and Pandalam Sudhakaran's brother Pandalam Prathapan, former Joint Labor Commissioner KV Balakrishnan, director Vinu Kiriyath, actress Radha and Udayasamudra Rajasekharan Nair have received BJP membership from Amit Shah.
