THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The press conference of Vijayan Thomas, who resigned from the post of KPCC general secretary, has been postponed. He said that he will resolve the issues with the party’s leadership and he will work and travel across Kerala for the victory of the Congress party in the state.

Last day, he said that he had resigned as he was fed up with the factionalism and improper functioning of the party. But the party sources have said that he resigned as the party leadership didn’t give him the Nemom seat. There have been unconfirmed reports that he may defect to other parties.

Vijayan Thomas has said that BJP and CPM are the chief opponents of Congress. Both parties are birds with the same feather and his resignation is part of the in party democracy in the Congress. The cyber warriors of CPM picturised my resignation as part of my defection to BJP. Such false campaigns are baseless and anti-democratic in nature.
