NEW DELHI: KPCC chief Mullapally Ramachandran has said that CPM and BJP are creating a mist of misunderstanding among the people. He also alleged that the speeches of Amit Shah and Pinarayi are part of well-crafted political scripts.

“The chief minister must answer how the CPM’s office in Kovalam became BJP’s office overnight. BJP and CPM are trying to create a Congress-free Kerala. Amit Shah must reveal the reason for hiding the murder associated with the gold smuggling case. Amit Shah has told Pinarayi that he will speak at Shangumugham, the next day Pinarayi must take part in a high-level programme and talk to people,” Mullapally alleged.

Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has also said that Pinarayi and Amit Shah are playing a drama to fool the people. “Amit Shah must reveal why the gold smuggling case is not moving forward. Amit Shah should never act like an angel and his speech is not going to produce any effect in Kerala,” he said. Former chief minister Oommen Chandy also said that the people need answers, not questions.

“The opportunists will leave Congress. It is like a big tree shedding its leaves for the growth of new ones. Congress will field a strong candidate in Nemom,” Mullapally said. Chennithala also said that opinion polls are subject to various influences and Congress doesn’t believe them. The leaders also said that Shafi Parambil will contest from Palakkad. KPCC president won’t contest and no relaxation will be given to sitting MPs to contest in the assembly polls.
