KOCHI: Advocate general has sent a notice to vigilance chief Summit Kumar over the leak of Swapna Suresh’s discreet testimony. The advocate general has demanded a show-cause notice from the vigilance commissioner to avoid contempt of court case against him. The action is taken on the complaint filed by the CPM leader K J Jacob.

On Monday, the customs commissioner has filed an affidavit before the high court over an old case of the jail department. Certain important portions of Swapna’s testimony is included in this affidavit. The complainant has said that it amounts to contempt of court and legal action should be taken against this.

AG’s notice has also specified that if adequate reasons are there, then it should be informed, before initiating contempt of court proceedings.
