THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Pothencode police nabbed two youths for stealing syringe from Andoorkonam primary health centre. They stole the syringe for the use of drugs. Sivakumar and Rafi of Kollam are the two taken into custody. The incident happened during lockdown time. As the shops were closed during lockdown, they did not get syringes to inject drugs. The two reached Andoorkonam primary health centre and in broad daylight they entered the nurses’ room, opened the cupboard and fled with the bag containing the disposable syringes.

When the nurses tried to stop the two, they pushed them and fled in the bike. The police nabbed them identifying the bike’s number following a complaint lodged by the hospital authorities. The two who were absconding were nabbed from their place in Kollam. The two will be produced in the court and remanded.
