WAYANAD: Post-mortem report states that there were 44 wounds on the body of Velmurugan who was killed in the Bappanamala Maoist encounter. The report states that both femurs were fractured after death. Human rights activists led by CP Rashid are preparing to approach the court after receiving the post-mortem report that the death was due to internal injuries.
The post-mortem report states that the fatal injuries were caused by gunshot wounds to the heart, liver, abdomen, lungs and kidneys. Human rights activists say the shots should have been fired just below the knee if they were aimed at capturing him.
