THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Uncertainty continues over the conduct of SSLC and Plus Two examinations. The Central Election Commission was expected to take a decision on the application of the government yesterday, but it did not happen.

There are reports that a decision will be taken today on whether the exams would be postponed. The state government had earlier asked the election commission to postpone the exams as the teachers have election duty.

Meantime, steps are being taken in schools hoping that exams will start on March 17. Students and parents are concerned as there is no clarity on the date of exams. Opposition teachers' unions don’t want the exams to be postponed. Preparations are underway for the distribution of hall tickets for plus two exams.
