THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 10,000 pilgrims will be permitted temple entry in Sabarimala for the monthly poojas for the Malayalam month of Meenam. The devotees will be allowed to enter from March 15- 28. The devotees are required to book slots through virtual queue for darshan. They should have a compulsory RTPCR negative certificate taken in 48 hours.

During Mandala Makara festival, 1000 were allowed to visit daily, but later the court intervened and increased it to 5,000. During the five days of Kumbhamasa pooja in February, only 10049 came out of the 25000 registered. 14951 failed to come. Following this, the special commissioner in the report pointed that 5,000 people were not getting the benefit of being allowed to visit every day and so the virtual queue system should be avoided.
