KOZHIKODE: The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has announced its candidate for 25 seats. After 25 years, a woman has been included in the League's list of candidates. Adv Noorbina Rasheed will contest from the Kozhikode South constituency. With the exception of KPA Majeed, Kunhalikutty and MK Muneer, those who contested for more than three terms have been removed from the list of candidates.

Abdussamad Samadani will contest from the Malappuram Lok Sabha constituency while PV Abdul Wahab will be the candidate in the Rajya Sabha seat. VE Abdul Gafoor, son of former minister VK Ebrahimkunju, will be the candidate in Kalamassery. League state president Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal said that the party has not decided whether to take over Punalur or Chadayamangalam. If a decision is made, it will be announced along with the candidate in the Perambra seat, he said.
