THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said that the LDF will win in Nemom even if Amit Shah comes to contest from the constituency. The former CPM state secretary said that Oommen Chandy had informed the Congress high command that he would not contest from Nemom as V Sivankutty has been announced as the LDF candidate there. Ramesh Chennithala has also made it clear that he won't contest from Nemom. The LDF had defeated Karunakaran in the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha. Oommen Chandy knew Nemom very well, Kodiyeri said.

"The BJP is trying to make Kerala another Gujarat. Is Congress national leader Rahul Gandhi planning to face the BJP by jumping into the sea?" Kodiyeri asked.
