AGALI: A tribal youth, who was attacked by a wild elephant, died on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Selvaraj (30), a native of Vananthara. Selvaraj was attacked by the elephant when he went to take bath in the Siruvani river after work at 8 pm.

The locals who reached the area rushed Selvaraj to the Kottathara Tribal Hospital. Though he was later shifted to Thrissur Medical College Hospital for expert treatment, Selvaraj died on Friday morning.
